Motherhood has been very good to me.

As you may remember, I'm somewhat of an amazing mom.

I also have never really had what you might call real experience being a mom. This weekend changed everything. I got to babysit Adrie.

Alaina's out of town on a cruise, busy ruining Thanksgiving. Kurt had Adrie most of the time, but I got to play mom to her on Monday and Tuesday night.

Joshua and I took her to the park on Monday night. He is such a good pretend dad. And is that not the cutest picture in the whole world?

My favorite part was on the walk home. Adrie heard a car coming and started freaking out. It was the kind of not real freaking out, like doing what adults do when a car comes to show a child how they're supposed to react. She kept saying, "A car is coming! Oh no! Aaaaah!" and backing up. Two pictures to demonstrate:

By far my favorite part of the weekend was yesterday morning. I was in the bathroom with Adrie and she was saying something I couldn't understand. I kept saying, "What? What?" and she kept repeating until she finally pu her hand out and said, "Trust me?"
I almost died, then asked, "What, Adrie?"
She said, "Dy trust me?" again with the hand out.

So I gave her my hand and she led me out of my (the guest) bathroom, into Alaina's bathroom. I don't even remember why she led me there, I just thought it was so cute that she actually used the line from Aladdin. Thank you, Adrie.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Gabbe and I made yams to celebrate.

Starting Now

Hey guys......I'm gone.

Well, I'm in Oregon now after finishing that finals stuff and the worrying about my grades all getting in, and not forgetting to take any finals, etc. Ever since coming home things have been working out perfectly for me (except for the whole Josh is still in Utah thing...), so I'm here to brag. And WARNING: I ramble.

Before I came home I had a job interview set up for a medical office (in West Linn!!) that needed a full-time summer receptionist and I GOT THE JOB! But I won't really start until June, so I had a month to burn time until I started. The busy bee that I am, I started looking for a job to a) fill up the month time or b) to have a second night time job and maybe get experience for my dietetics program (did I mention to mak more money? because that should be on there). Last summer I was signed up for a staffing agency for a meager week until I worked at that one
law firm. So today I stopped by the SA to see if I could maybe find some temp work for the next month and BAM! they need a new receptionist for a month, I need a receptionist job for a month, I GOT THE JOB. And I start tomorrow. I'm making lasagna for my father and sister tonight because I'm mom because my real mom is out of town.

Long story short:
Good News:
I got the medical receptionist job.
I got a one month temp receptionist job.
I didn't have to try too hard to get either job.
I'm making lasagna tonight.
I blogged.

Bad News:
Joshua lives in Utah.
First job doesn't start until June
Second job is at the scary temp agency.
I'm lazy.
I still don't have a waitressing job at Macaroni Grill.
I have to clean my room tonight.

End!

This is sick.

Here are a couple little gross facts for you:

1. Something about the LRC makes my hands sweat. It might be the awful temperature in here.
2. Uhhh
I can't come up with any other gross facts. I wish I could because I don't want that fact to be alone. It's gross.

FHE tonight at 7:15. Have I ever told you that FHE is no longer FHE? I'm supposed to call it HOME EVENING. I got an official looking email and everything. I'm not the FHE Mom anymore, just a group leader. What if I like being a mom? Everything about this weekend made me a mom!

Reasons why I was a mom this weekend:
1. I made chocolate chip meringue cookies this weekend.
2. I did dishes five times.
3. I made some chocolate fudge type of dessert.
4. Made gourmet chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn.
5. Invited my friends over for a hearty meal on Sunday evening.
6. Did all the dishes from said meal.
7. Vacuumed and mopped the house.
8. 409ed counters everywhere.
9. Bought a pillow at DI with intentions to re-cover it.
10. Re-covered said pillow.

Reason why I am not a mom right now:
1. I made this bragging list.
