Playing Catch Up

So...Henry is sleeping. It's not like he's never slept before, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of cramming in all the things I need to do during his nap time. This nap time, I'm playing catch up on my blog.

This is the deathly hallows symbol. On the outside of the new Los Hermanos/old Ottavios restaraunt in Provo. YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT. THE DEATHLY HALLOWS SYMBOL IS IN DOWNTOWN PROVO. I want someone to explain it to me please, because the only logical explanation is that the hallows are real, Harry Potter exists, and there is a wizard (or witch. I'm not picky) in Provo who is a believer. Thank you, world.

This is my new reindeer, Benjamin. He is named after the bills I hope to put in him during the year to save for Christmas. This is my new savings plan for Christmas presents/holiday cheer because I just love Christmas and saving in a "savings account" just isn't doing it. Every month needs a little Christmas.

Vampire and Holiday Cheer

I haven't really thought a whole lot about New Moon coming out, and by not a "whole lot" I mean compared to how excited I was for Twilight last year. My true allegiances lie with Harry Potter so I don't get too excited about Twilight, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a HUGE fan and really excited for the movie to come out. I mean, some of you know how many times I saw Twilight in theaters and it's quite an embarrassing number. I (and I know Josh, too) hope I don't like this one as much so I don't get sucked into that time and money drain. Book 2 was my least favorite in the series. May the movies be the same!

Anyway, reason for this blog? This article was linked on my homepage and I enjoyed it. It's different celebrities weighing in on team Jacob vs Edward. It makes me feel just a little bit closer to my famous friends. I only would've liked it better had Kristen Bell given her 2 cents. So here's the article!

As I write this I'm listening to 'A Colbert Christmas' album. It's hilarious and awesome and FEIST has a song and sings on another 2 songs. Count it as my favorite christmas album of the year. Some of the other songs include 'Can I Interest You in Hannukah' from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and 'Nutmeg' by John Legend and SC.

Did I tell you it's Christmas, yet?

There's nothing that celebrates Christmas more than dancing around with a three year old to happy Christmas music. Especially when said three year old dressed herself up like a hippie. It's awesome.

It snowed a lot.

Two things:

1. My favorite Christmas song this season is "The Christmas Song" by The Ravonettes. It is SO GOOD. Just mix one part Weezer with one part Christmas and one part fantastic music and you get this song. For the record, "All That I Want" by the Weepies was my favorite Christmas song last year.

2. Rachel introduced me to the fug world, and I would like to introduce you to my favorite girl crush gone fug. If you have a couple hours to waste, please peruse this website. I haven't stopped laughing in the last 30 minutes.

That's the spirit!

I think it's time to inform the world that I am obsessed with Christmas.
I've been listening to Christmas music pretty much non-stop since Thanksgiving day.
I did all my Christmas shopping and wrapping on Black Friday.
Josh and I went to the Salt Lake temple lights and I didn't even hate the cold because I was so happy.
I want to watch Elf on repeat.
Grandma Wood's house makes me happy beyond belief because it is so Christmasy.
I bought 3 Christmas cd's.
I absolutely cannot WAIT to be home for the holidays and I wish December was 3 months long.

Officially post number 201.

Holy pictures. I wish I could post all 300 of the ones from NYC, but, sadly, some of them will never be seen by human eyes (other than my own and Nat's...probably).

First of all, this trip was AMAZING. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Amazing. G&G completely have outdone themselves with the amazing accommadations we had (as seen in the first two pictures of views from the hotel room).

The hotel was right in Times Square, the most magical place on Earth.

We (by we I mean myself) went everywhere on the Subway, first time I didn't even ride in a taxi. My dreams of riding in the Cash Cab are officially old news.

Someone, maybe Grandpa, told us to pretend like we were picking our noses? Mom saw this picture and said, "Kendall! It looks like you're faking!"

Sometimes on the arduous journey to the elevator from our room, we'd play "The Game". (video located here.)

One night we went to take pictures in the square. It was cold. Reeeeeally really cold.

Went to the NYC public library to attempt some jumping pictures and model shots, then looked in some Christmas windows because magically Christmas came to New York City one night.

Rachel, Natalie, and I got to see THE TYRA in real life! She kind of disappointed. Not as friendly and personable as Next Top Model and Tyra Show make her seem. I swear I'm not complaining though, I got a free T-Shirt. And I probably got on television.

As three sisters alone in NYC, we found it necessary to model sometimes.

On our last day in the City we walked on some of the Brooklyn Bridge. I would say we crossed it, but I don't think walking about a half mile onto it and then refusing to go more counts as "crossing". We did get quite far though, and Dad knows how to take a picture. Thank you Natalie for making me do this.

Soooo good. Visit to my favorite city on Earth didn't disappoint, and it was SO fun to take Rachel there and to be there with my BFF sisters. Boston blog coming up soon? Most definitely. I might blog about other stuff beforehand though...I kind of to blog again.

I am sitting in my bed, my REAL bed, listening to disney music and waiting for the shores of sleep to take me away. I've been informed that santa has already come and I am NOT allowed downstairs. Sad day.

On a good note, the most annoying girl from The Girls Next Door (yes my favorite trashy McTrashy show) Kendra, has a blog. I want to FIND IT! It's probably also, trashy McTrashy, but hey! Hef likes it, and who can argue with hef? Or is it Heff? Hm.
